Statistics from the 2017 recruitment:

  • The Fellowship received 83 applicants for five advertised posts: over half of the applicants from the ‘global South’, 55 per cent were women;
  • The Fellowship Programme Staff conducted 38 first round interviews and 19 panel interviews: 54 per cent from the ‘global south’ and over half were women;
  • Governments selected five Fellows: applicants come from Kenya, Belgium and the United Kingdom; three are women and two are men.
