Statistics from the 2016 recruitment:

  • The Fellowship received 100 applicants for six advertised posts: over half of the applicants from the ‘global South’, 56 per cent were women;
  • The Fellowship Programme Staff conducted 30 first round interviews and 15 panel interviews: 60 per cent from the ‘global south’ and two thirds women;
  • Governments selected six Fellows: applicants come from Kenya, Australia, the United Stated of America and the United Kingdom; four are women and two are men.
