The Oxford Policy Fellowship Programme Coordinator role is an opportunity to be involved in a unique and exciting programme that supports governments across Africa and Asia in achieving their law and policy objectives.

We are offering an interesting and exciting opportunity to work as a Programme Coordinator in our dynamic and fun team, where you will provide key operational support to the programme through administrative, logistical and financial management. You will ensure the high-quality delivery of the programme to scope, on time and within budget. You will work closely with the Programme Manager to support the Fellowship in its annual cycle: engagement with government partners, recruitment of Fellows, planning of the Annual Meeting and deployment of Fellows.

Main Tasks

The successful candidate can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Administration of the Oxford Policy Fellowship in its entirety, including providing all logistical and financial administration support to the programme.
  • Supporting the Fellows: developing a productive relationship with them and ensuring their wellbeing throughout their postings, providing pastoral care as and when issues arise and ensuring their security at all time.
  • Coordinating the annual recruitment of new Fellows: from the call for applications through to booking candidates’ travel to attend interviews, through to deployment of our Fellows’ to country.
  • Planning and coordinating Fellowship events, including the Annual Meeting and the new Fellow induction training.

Skills and experience

You will have:

  • Demonstrable experience working on complex projects, and a strong desire to learn and develop
  • Excellent project administration, financial management and coordination skills.
  • Clear and professional communication skills.
  • Proactive with a track record of supporting others.
  • Flexibility and initiative to autonomously manage a changing workload.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a solution-driven attitude.
  • High calibre organisational and problem-solving skills, and an analytical and dynamic approach to programme coordination.
